Missing first 15 seconds or so of shakedown street(None of the lyrics, just the opening few seconds, got in late, band went on early) Recording sounds really good.
At about the two min mark, I get my mics both aimed the right way and the levels set properly( was trying to get everything up and running as they were walking out) It sounds great from then on. Thanks to John pasternack for the clamp space and helping me get my rig up and running within 2 mins. We were the front stand on the front right side.
Broken up for Cd. Disc one is the 100's, Disc 2 the 200's and disc 3 the 300's

Subject: Furthur thoughts...
Indeed, they didn't finish Cryptical, but I didn't notice until it was pointed out. And maybe Eclipse didn't bring down the house, but I agree it fell into place nicely at that moment, and I was happy to hear it.

A lot of songs Furthur does have sounded 'slow' since the beginning, and some really don't seem to work at that speed, like Saint of Circumstance. But they're definitely capable of playing snappier when they want to, which makes me think that it's being done on purpose, because the powers that be prefer a more deliberate sound these days. After all, some of those early 70s Playing in the Bands were much slower than the current offerings.

And people really need to give JK a break. There's still a lot of "fake Jerry" criticism out there, and it probably doesn't fill him with confidence to read stuff like that. Those are some impossibly large shoes to fill, after all, and I think it's safe to say that for a lot of people, myself included, it wasn't until Furthur that the old spark finally kindled again. And with all due respect to the other members in the band, the missing ingredient was obviously what JK brings to the band. Sure, it's not the same, but it really is close enough to pretend, and I'm really grateful that we get to ride the nostalgia train a while longer.

When it's all over with for good, then we can go back to listening to recordings and arguing about the relative merits of GD eras or post-GD configurations. For now however, there's still some magic happening live, so maybe it's better to put aside expectations and let it roll...

Subject: Eclipse
I totally disagree about Eclipse. There were moments during the show when the energy flow was low or even slightly off, but Caution>Eclipse was not one of them. I(and everyone around me) LOVED it when Eclipse fell into place. It was one of the show's high points in my opinion.

Subject: Great recording, great show
I personally think Furthur is on fire this tour. All the shows I saw were excellent. This is a very good recording of an excellent show. I was in the front of the board both nights; I thought Friday sounded excellent. The sound Saturday was not as good but I wouldn't call it muddy. I completely disagree about JK; I think he's great.

Subject: 4 for...
To cosmickc and anyone else confused by my sound rating.
The 4 stars are for the recording presented here. NOT the actual sound at the show. The sound at the show sucked. This recording sounds WAY better then it did on the floor.
Listening back to sugar mag i stand corrected, it's just as slow here as it was live.
Maybe if bob and phil down a couple of bed bulls before the go on stage the songs wouldn't lag the way they do. I agree with billy K about john K. He lacks inspiration. He can play a good copy of a solo, i give him that, but as soon as he starts to improvise the jams, he falls apart. Watching the band on stage, bob and jeff pretty much carry the weight. But thats just my .02.

I just want to point out that they never finished cryptical, so anthem was not played in full.
I also agree with "eclipse" not working.

Sorry for the confusion.

Subject: both nights
I was at both nights and each had its highs , especially on Friday when they were playing WRS and the fireworks went off . If you know anything about Coney Island Fireworks display in the summer months they go off promply at 9:45 PM which they did friday night ..the band didn't miss a beat...If I have to be critical of something "Eclipse" following Caution just didn't seem to work real well but the ending of Playing In The Band> The Wheel> I Know You Rider makes me realize this still is a lot of fun.....Hopefully Friday's show gets posted

Subject: Where is Friday the 13th?
This show sounds great, but I was only @ thhe previouus evening...any info on it?

Subject: Umm?
This is for Wilson. I wasn't at the show and haven't even listened yet. I read your review and i'm confused. First you say the sound sucked but then you give the sound "4 stars." Then you talk about "pitch correction" but this was recorded digitally and that's not even remotely a factor when there are no moving parts in the recorded.

No need to be sorry about your point of view regarding the quality of the performance or the sound but maybe try not to confuse us folks with your review.

After a rough first couple of minutes in Shakedown this crafty recording takes off along with a show that plays out like one gigantic second set. Thank you for the quick upload and really good vibes.

Subject: another stellar show
Furthur really delivering the goods on this amazing summer tour. Fine and inspired playing all along. Here's a 'classic' second set with emphasis on "Anthem Of The Sun". And a very fine recording. "Let there be songs to fill the air"!
